THE REFUGE
When London editor Peyton Thurman returns to Virginia following the sudden deaths of her parents in a plane crash, she expects to spend only a few weeks settling their estate and preparing her childhood home, historic Greyson Plantation, for sale.
But the rolling horse country of Loudoun County exerts a pull she never anticipated—as does Cameron Hill, the handsome widowed farm manager whose devotion to the land and his young daughter begins to awaken something in Peyton she thought she had left behind.
Then Cameron introduces her to The Refuge, a secluded colonial-era house hidden deep within the family property—a place Peyton never knew existed. As long-buried secrets begin to surface, Peyton discovers that someone else has an interest in her inheritance and may be willing to do anything to claim it.
Blending romance, mystery, family secrets, and suspense, The Refuge is a story about coming home, discovering where one truly belongs, and finding love where it is least expected.
